Many experts are convinced that we will be hearing a lot more from these youngsters soon – and one of them may well be at the top of the Rheintal Snooker Open winners’ list in the near future.

The semi-finals – pure excitement

Semi-final 1:

Former professional Darren Paris once again demonstrated his enormous class. With superb shots and tactical finesse, he prevailed against the strong Iranian Hajiha Arman and secured a well-deserved place in the final.

Semifinal 2:

Khmelevskyi Denys (UKR) vs. Marvin Losi (SUI)

A duel that made snooker fans’ hearts beat faster. Switzerland’s Marvin Losi and Ukraine’s Denys Khmelevskyi fought a closely contested match. It all came down to the decisive 5th frame, where Denys impressively demonstrated why he is one of the best players in the tournament. With nerves of steel and precise play, he secured his place in the final.

The final – snooker at TV level

The two finalists, Khmelevskyi Denys and Darren Paris, played a match that seemed tailor-made for TV: fast-paced, precise, and highly exciting.

The frame progression showed how evenly matched they were: 1:0, 1:1, 1:2, 2:2.

Then a tactical safety battle developed, revealing snooker in its purest form. Patience, precision, and mental strength determined the game.

A minor mistake by Paris – a safety shot that was slightly too short – finally opened the door. Khmelevskyi Denys took advantage of the opportunity without compromise and played the decisive points with great composure.

Darren Paris, a thoroughly athletic, fair, and charming gentleman, congratulated his opponent with sincere appreciation. The audience honored the performance of both players with long-lasting applause.
